In the last few weeks my work in the Orquesta Filarmonía de Madrid team has intensified. After Beethoven’s Ninth and a memorable Tchaïkovsky Violin Concerto, we are now preparing Mozart’s Requiem.

Later on, Karl Orff’s Carmina Burana and Malher’s Symphony of a Thousand await us.

After that will come the Broadway in Concert where I will contribute as an arranger, something that has me involved for a few weeks in a music that I love. I will tell you more about other composition projects later on.

For the moment I say goodbye, and I can not fail to comment that such was the success of this year’s Antología de la Zarzuela (with tickets sold out more than a week before the performance), that maestro Pascual Osa decided to do a new performance as a colophon to the season.

Next month I will tell you how the rehearsals are going in the Municipal Choir of Velilla de San Antonio, with which we are preparing the concerts for the dates of Easter.

Georgina and The 4th Rurning

As I told you in the previous newsletter

I see 2026 as a crucial year to prepare us, not only for the inevitable crisis/general change we are already entering, but for the coming rebirth.

Winter is a time to stop running, to reflect, to leave behind everything that is useless and to look inside to gather strength. This is something we can all do, but we can also share it and lay the foundations for a better future. I read that “Winter is not a dead time in the field, but a strategic stage to recover soil fertility and prepare the next campaign.”

To better understand the historical moment we are living there is a book that has been revealing for me: The Fourth Turning by William Strauss and Neil Howe. The book focuses on American history for almost all of its examples, but the thesis is valid globally, I believe, and in any case it is very convincing for understanding the current crisis in the West. I recommend reading the book, but I leave here a very brief summary that I found to be essentially accurate.

I know that this newsletter is received by friends of all ages, and that is why I find it very interesting that everyone is looking for their role for this season.

Older people ( boomers) can pass on their values: it is time to defend some of their achievements, even if they have to put aside the natural fear of change. Those in middle age (generation X) can probably bring their more practical and decisive spirit to the younger ones, given their experience. Young adults (millennial generation), who are in the best position to lead this moment, can bring their best adaptation to the new media without losing sight of the good of their children. On the other hand, it is up to the youngest (generation Z) to protest and demand authenticity and realism in the face of a system that is crumbling without them, who are the real future.

Together, we must seek new horizons to better organize ourselves, understanding that there are systemic failures that come from past mistakes that must not be repeated. That is why, although the interests of each generation often seem disconnected, if we look closely they can be complementary.

The confrontation between generations is something I have been observing for some time, as well as the abandonment of the family and its values, while the digital world takes on an isolating prominence, sometimes even within families. As I write this, I remember the conversation I had a few years ago with Uncle Max about “Feeling Alone and Being Alone”. We published it in our Blog at the time, and I have recovered it to bring it here, because I think it is still relevant today....

In the last few weeks I am embarking on a new project and I am looking for the best balance between the facilities and the dependencies of the digital tools I plan to use . I hear about “Digital Minimalism”, what is that? is it what I want?... I am still looking for my answers. I will tell you about it in the next News.

To regain a balanced use of digital tools it is essential to turn off their addictive use. Personally I think the digital minimalism that Georgina is discovering is an interesting initiative as a response to manipulative surveillance, as is turning on new communications.

At the beginning of this year (as in almost all of them, to tell the truth), my thoughts turn to all the road traveled so far and all the people who have accompanied me in my personal life and in my professional career. Therefore, I would like first of all to thank especially those of you who follow and read this newsletter. Apart from my personal friends, I think of all those I met during my studies in Madrid (at the CPM Adolfo Salazar, at the Prado Museum...), also those from Ithaca College and New York, as well as others from unforgettable conducting Masterclasses, and many others with whom I have shared extraordinary moments. As I do not use social networks, this is the thread that I maintain with many of you, and that is why it is important for me to know that we are still in touch here. Thank you!

Looking back, I also realize all the teachings and advice I have received from different mentors, teachers, friends, and a long etcetera... That is why, when updating my Curriculum this time I am highlighting the names of outstanding teachers in the field of conducting, and how they have marked me professionally. I feel honored and grateful for that, and it is also a reminder to myself not to forget where I come from, and how my journey has been...

That said, time continues to pass and, as every arrival of a new year, the illusion and new goals reappear, plus the work does not stop (even if we have rested a little during these dates).

To begin with, we have resumed rehearsals this week in the Municipal Choir of Velilla de San Antonio with a new but exciting repertoire, combining Opera, Zarzuela and religious works in order to be able to give the maximum number of concerts during the dates of Holy Week.

At the same time, in Filarmonía we are already in full swing with the next concert, which is none other than ‘Antología de la Zarzuela’ , a concert always very exciting and special ... and that has already sold out! Here is a testimonial of of last year’s wonderful performance.

Georgina in 2026

My reading pace has accelerated, there is so much to learn! So instead of bringing you only books, I think it is more interesting to bring here my personal view on issues that I consider fundamental and urgent today, because they will mark the future. I start the year with the issue of Privacy on the Internet, one of the cornerstones of a social contract, which today is in question.

Anecdotes of mine. A few weeks ago a person close to me repeated the argument that she did not mind being watched on the net because she had nothing to hide... Later I remembered my father, who preferred to make his donations to charities privately and anonymously (now they are called solidarity NGOs, but they are dedicated to the same thing)... And suddenly the historical fact came to my mind that the Nazis used the databases of the administrations themselves to locate the Jews in the countries they were invading. But...

Privacy as a fundamental human right is recognized by law. You can find its trace in the laws that we men have given ourselves to defend them. For example, this is how the right to privacy is enshrined in The Privacy Act of 1974 as well as in the Spanish Constitution Article 18.

Why is privacy not respected then, and nobody says anything? When someone dares to violate the law, it is because he or she benefits from it. Therefore, the more accurate question should be: who benefits from the constant violation of our private space (qui prodest)? The answer today is extensive at this point, since there are many beneficiaries, starting with big tech, and continuing with all the businesses that depend on your data for their survival. Because of vested interests, an inexplicable impunity has been established, and ordinary citizens, who provide our data as indispensable “fuel” for the system, are sold that “privacy does not matter”.

Is all lost, and can I do anything to defend my rights? Of course all is not lost, and we can defend our privacy. But, the responsibility lies with each one of us. They say that fundamental rights are those that you take for granted until they are taken away. So, the first thing is to start thinking for yourself, and realize the systematic surveillance to which you are subjected, and how this surveillance is transformed into behavioral manipulation. Then, perhaps it is time to ask yourself, is this the world we want to leave to our children?

Reading books or audiobooks is a good first step, as is being attentive and remaining curious, outside of the mainstream media. My favorite readings and other materials for delving into this topic are:

1984 by George Orwell. Published in 1949, this novel is surprising in how science fiction has become reality. “Big Brother is watching you” is an expression of profound meaning coined in this title...

The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff. An essay by a Harvard professor that is excellently documented, very extensive ( ), and revealing (data that confronts us with reality, however uncomfortable it may be). Published in and dedicated to the author’s grandchildren, as a testimony to a time when those who wake up may be freed from the slavery of the internet. Available as an audiobook.

A Cypherpunk Manifesto. An article published in by a community of engineers aware of the power of the internet and its dangers to human beings.

An essential documentary: The Social Dilemma, where you will find some of the major players in the construction of social networks expressing their tremendous burden of conscience. The origin of the documentary is precisely the need to make amends, but its courageous message is only valid if we each accept our responsibility. »» Trailer ««

These materials are only a small selection. My intention is not to overwhelm but to show various paths so that everyone can choose the starting point that interests them, and thus start this necessary conversation. There are different perspectives, and some truths may be uncomfortable, but the important thing is to raise questions and open a debate, which is essential now, also for the sake of the next generations.

I see 2026 as a crucial year to prepare ourselves, not for the inevitable crisis, the change we are already entering, but for the coming rebirth. Let us begin by regaining our space, the control of our values, and the direction of our lives.

For my part, I bid you farewell with the wish that in the new year you keep your spirit alert and in control of your destiny.

As I look back on this turn of the year, I want to offer my most positive outlook toward a future that will bring new possibilities for the most creative humans. But we will need to prepare for new times with new digital tools if we want to take advantage of them.

I understand Georgina’s position and wonder about the value of privacy for artists specifically, something we discussed a while ago, which you can read about here.

To protect your personal privacy (and that of your family) today I bring new tools, beyond the software recommended in our Newsletters of the end of 2025. These are camera protectors and bug blockers for your devices. These physical privacy protectors can be easily found on Amazon itself. And also Faraday bags can help protect your devices (cell phones, cards, Ipads, computers, etc.), as well as defend your rights. Some time ago Georgina told us about these Faraday bags (there are many brands and prices). She discovered them thanks to information from a Spanish army commander. Be sure to take a look at these products which are not only legal but also highly recommended.

It is also a very advisable practice to disconnect from the Internet when you want to enjoy real privacy, and recover time to think on your own, out of the noise of the Internet. It is very healthy.

Thinking already on the study website, I advance you that in 2026 we will spend some time to organize our file for registration on the blockchain a the tokenization of licenses. This has more to do with another right, that of property - Intellectual Property specifically - and may sound a bit messy. But, we have a plan mapped out and we believe it won’t be complicated to execute. It’s our big plan for 2026.

Getting ready for Christmas

I’m not going to get long because I bring you some audios and images of my last weeks. And you know that an audio and a picture are worth a thousand words.

It was very exciting to prepare the Filarmonía Christmas Concert at the Auditorio Nacional. It was a tremendous success with its exciting moments and a premiere in Spain, the most applauded of the night: Three Songs from the film Home Alone. In these pieces I had to intervene modestly as arranger of the choral part, and the result was great thanks to the interpretation of the Orchestra and Choir.

I was also in charge of the subtitles, which were accompanied by carefully selected images of Art. The Rockwell I leave here is the one that accompanied John Williams’ Merry Christmas, for example.

The truth is that I really enjoyed this task, especially with the works of the French repertoire... it was a fantastic program, indeed! And I am told that these projected subtitles - discreet but very careful - allow the public to follow the concert better and without having to consult the hand program at all. Thanks to Maestro Osa for allowing me this contribution.

The other two upcoming holiday programs of the Orquesta y Coro Filarmonía are also highly anticipated: Viena en Madrid (December 26), and Harry Potter & Star Wars (January 3).

Moreover, this year I have had the great fortune to conduct my beloved choir of Velilla de San Antonio in two very Christmas concerts: the first one was for the Christmas tree lighting event in the square, the second one in the Municipal Auditorium. I think we all had a great time, and we are already thinking about the repertoire for the next quarter...

Last but not least, a few weeks ago, in the midst of all this work, the opportunity arose to perform some songs with a friend of the Filarmonia choir who is also a very special soloist singer, Marina Lorenzo. With her I will be at the Café Libertad 8 (Madrid) next Saturday at 13h 30… Meet me there!

BOOKS for reflection and action

In the last two years I have been consistently learning about personal finances, something that is not part of educational programs, and which does not usually interest writers, illustrators and artists in general (there are exceptions, of course). I, like so many of my generation and generations before and after, grew up financially illiterate. In Spain, where I have always worked, and in my particular environment, money is a topic that is not talked about naturally, it is almost a taboo subject... until today. A first question we can ask ourselves is: who benefits from this general financial illiteracy, and then, how can we remedy this gap?

Fortunately today there are many sources to start learning, courses, podcasts/videos, and especially books/audiobooks that can open our eyes to a healthy management of what is ours, if we put our mind to it...

Taking the reins of your life from awareness, regaining control of your economy with the guidance and tools we have in our hands today is possible.

The three books that I leave here are brief, and also impressive. They can help you to embark on your path, the one that nobody told you about at school, neither anybody tells you about today in the general media. They can point you to your path to financial freedom.

Each of these books is a starting point to open our eyes to the responsibility we each have. They can also lead to family conversations, the kind that matter to everyone, including children. There is no excuse anymore, nor will complaining save us. It is time to get ready to act for our own good.

At our studio, we are no strangers to the technological revolution—AI + Bitcoin—that we are currently experiencing, and it will affect all humans in general and artists in particular. That is why Mirlo will introduce in this News the new digital tools that we are going to use, and we encourage you to try them out to stay connected in the best way possible. Below you will find our tip for today.

But first, let’s follow Manuel’s footsteps in the real world.

New Season & New School Year

My collaboration with the Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir is intensifying. The new 2025-2026 season is going from strength to strength, and my work as assistant conductor is becoming more intense. I recently had the opportunity to conduct the orchestra in rehearsal for a special concert with a wonderful program that included Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 (“Drum Roll”) and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 (“Italian”). Below a leave the video of what was a very special moment for me. For those reading this who are not musicians, it is worth clarifying that conductors have to accurately assess how the orchestra sounds from the distance of the audience, in order to correct imbalances and ensure the best experience for listeners in the stalls, the tiers, etc.

This also explains the meaning of my work here.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Orquesta y Coro Filarmonia, other work opportunities have arisen that are as unexpected as they are gratifying for me.

On the one hand, I am teaching music to children between 3 and 13 years old in two schools: the Brewster Institute Madrid and the German School. I love conducting children, and it seems that they also like to learn with me. This experience is extraordinary for me personally, because it is allowing me to take a fresh look at my own childhood, and to recover some perhaps lost memories of my first contacts with music, when I enjoyed it in a more spontaneous way.

On the other hand, every week I go to Velilla de San Antonio where the municipal choir of which I am the director awaits me. It is a small choir with which I hope to put together programs that everyone will enjoy, both the choir members and those who attend our events. At the moment, we are preparing a Christmas Concert. But I will tell you more about that in future newsletters.

2026 Software ** PRIVATE COMMUNICATIONS**

In the previous News we introduced an email that allows you to send encrypted messages from source to destination, ProtonMail, a service founded in Switzerland and with Open Source code supervision. This is a fundamental first step, to reclaim the privacy of your communications. Mirlo

Privacy in communications is a fundamental right, which in the past was considered almost “sacred”, although it may seem untrue today. Convenience and even the fascination for new technologies have made us neglect fundamental rights, disregarding their value, exposing our location (and many other data) and endangering our security. We never know who has access and/or can use what we communicate with our addressee!

Some of us at Mirlo Studio are tired of “walking around naked” on the Internet, we have left behind the most vigilant services that steal our data, traffic it, or simply store it dangerously. Are we paranoid? Either way, we are not alone. Look in the comments, and ask yourself: has the time come to free yourself from WhatsApp? 🤔

At Mirlo Studio, we are going to leave behind our old messaging services and opt for other more respectful and encrypted services. We will start with Signal, a service founded years ago that is used even at the government level, and which has improved in recent times.

Of course there are alternatives to Signal, where not even a phone number is required to access the services. This is an important issue because when you hand over your email or your phone, you are not only giving up your privacy, but you are also sharing your contacts, indirectly unprotecting... but for the moment we are going to progress in the best way.

In the studio we are exploring the best tools, and Signal seems to us a good way to start raising awareness. By 2026 we want to be equipped with a new toolbox to help us navigate the network with more control.

With ProtonMail and its encrypted drive and Signal as messaging, video chats and private meetings, we have the tools to communicate and approach collaborative projects remotely.

In the next email we will talk about the exchange of value and how to carry it out on the network directly without platforms or intermediaries...

El puente donde habitan las mariposas, by Nazareth Castellanos

A book that brings confidence in the ability of every human being to sculpt his or her brain, with all the responsibility that this implies. The author is a neurologist who brings scientific evidence and testimonies as well as her own experience to ground that wisdom and make it useful for us to heal even our past. The words of Ramon y Cajal put her on the way to find out what is most important, to awaken consciences and to discover that we can all be reborn, if we set our minds to it.

“If you set your mind to it” is the sine qua non on which the author reflects the most. Being able to set out to heal and to be “reborn” with a stronger brain is an uplifting power. But it is a very difficult task, and not everyone sets out with the necessary determination.

Empire of AI, by Karen Hao

A journalist - engineer and journalist - spends three days inside Open AI doing research for a report. She enters with genuine enthusiasm and interest, but what she hears from the senior members and all their experience leads her to question the path she has taken in this crucial development for humanity: the race towards AGI -Artificial General Intelligence-, which is presented to her as the main course.

I find the tone of the managers’ conversations deeply alarming, as well as their lack of scruples in enslaving hundreds of thousands of poor people in South America and Africa, and I am overcome by the information about the needs of the data fields and their destructive capacity of land and communities. If you are concerned by ethics and the future of humanity, this book definitely makes you cautious about Ai and responsible before start enthusiastically using any tool.

Finally, it is worth pointing that what prompted the author to write the book is the big question that I also ask myself, and which I invite you to reflect on. If AI is capable of performing so many tasks so accurately, why do they insist on developing it to replace human beings, instead of developing it as a tool at their service?

The Sovereign Individual, by James Dale Davison y William Rees-Mogg

This book, published last century (it was published in 1997), is written to prepare us for the present moment. The bold predictions, mostly accurate, are surprising. It is a read that changes your perspective on what is happening. Most of the information that comes to us as news is “noise,” overwhelming noise in which truth cannot be discerned from lies, and manipulation is rampant. The media is only looking for our reaction, as well as to steal our time and weaken our judgment. Only those who are well prepared will know how to take advantage of the enormous power that technology will offer us as individuals.

I encourage you to look for the book. In Spanish, I could not get it. It seems that it has been discontinued 🤔 In any case, I leave here the intro you will find on Wikipedia.

The three readings have the power to enrich your point of view with ideas that help to break assumptions and prejudices, and also help to order your thoughts to be able to act if you want to progress steadily. They are highly recommended to prepare for 2026.

If you still use Gmail or another outdated service, you should know that everything you write there is monitored and your data is used for marketing purposes to benefit your provider without your consent. If you are already aware of all this and want to take steps now to stop feeling spied on, you will love ProtonMail.

An encrypted email is the first essential step. But ProtonMail also offers many other services that will allow us to defend our right to privacy, such as an encrypted drive for private collaborations and even a Bitcoin wallet. We’ll tell you more about this in a few weeks.

MANUEL starts a new season

In September, I finished a new composition project and launched my website, including some samples, which I encourage you to check out here.

In October, my collaboration with the Orquesta y Coro Filarmonía was consolidated. We opened the new 2025-2026 season with Haydn’s The Creation, and on this occasion I had the opportunity to contribute with some special subtitles, as they included images of Art masterpieces that contextualized some crucial moments in the libretto. Here is an example...

On its 25th anniversary, the Filarmonía orchestra is revisiting some of its most iconic pieces, and I am delighted that my work has been so well received. I am particularly excited about this because I believe it completes the experience and makes it easier for new audiences to become better acquainted with Filarmonía’s extraordinary repertoire.

Next Concert at Auditorio Nacional with Filarmonía: Amor Brujo y La Vida Breve from Falla…

In addition to the rehearsals with Filarmonía, I am making progress with arrangements and orchestrations, teaching piano... and I have taken charge of a small choir with which we are beginning to prepare a Christmas concert. I will tell you more about this in November.

It’s a book in which he develops a thesis on the economy towards which the world is moving.

I liked it almost as much as Life After Google, which I read at the beginning of my journey into the Internet of Value when I discovered Blockchain technology. Since then, I haven’t used Google, and that has allowed me to educate myself at my own pace and with a much more critical spirit, in fields that the search engine (which sells itself as a “behavior predictor”) would surely never have suggested to someone with my profile. If you want to evolve, you need to take control, which is somewhat what Gilder sees as possible in the future.

* For those unfamiliar with George Gilder, suffice it to say that he is a highly respected liberal economist and a visionary who predicted the major changes of the 20th century. His ideas have also been followed in China, a country he has visited on several occasions and whose economy he has studied with great interest due to its enormous development.

In the future, Gilder places the individual as the main driver of progress, based on four essential pillars:

• Wealth is Knowledge

• Growth is Learning

• Information is Surprise

• Money is time

Personally, I am left with three fundamental ideas that are already influencing my way of seeing the world at the present moment. That is why I am sharing them here, expressed in my own words.

1. For innovators, only information or news that comes as a surprise is worthwhile: only surprises trigger individual creativity for problem solving. Surprises open windows from the known to new solutions, always in a very personal way. The connection between the known and the truly new is what ignites creativity.

2. Gilder proposes a way of measuring the evolution of the price of goods and services: how many hours of work are required to earn the money needed to pay for a good or service? Capitalism and Communism (Smith and Marx) agree on measuring value in terms of the hours of work spent on production. If we follow Gilder and think of examples throughout history, we realize that today everything is much cheaper than before (traveling, communicating over long distances, accessing music, etc.). This reflection highlights the power of progress. It is a more realistic and optimistic view, which focuses on human beings and their time—not on business.

3. Capitalism and Communism are both essentially materialistic economic systems, which progress will eventually overcome, as human beings gain independence from those who administer them. A courageous message that forces us to consider our responsibilities.

La LIBERTAD DE EXPRESIÓN en el mundo digital

donde impera la censura y auto-censura.

🐦‍⬛ ¿Cómo pueden los artistas independientes expresarse libremente cuando los medios tecnológicos ejercen vigilancia y censura a golpe de algoritmo?

🤔 Para mí el algoritmo en sí no es el enemigo a batir, sino quien está detrás y lo maneja a su conveniencia! Me gusta mencionar la paulatina imposición de una “cultura institucional” que pone las reglas y solo permite la llegada de unos pocos. Creo que la (verdadera) cultura es una manifestación de la libertad, en un mundo cada día menos libre. Es el reducto de la libertad personal, la independencia y de la libertad de expresión. Al fin y al cabo, la (verdadera) cultura (y no “la industria cultural”, como se le llama a “lo otro”) es -o debe ser- “un contrapoder” y hay que defenderlo con la vida, en un mundo cada día más hostil, institucionalizado, mediocre y “plano”, a la orden de una manipulación social y económica de algunos! El arte es reivindicación, rebeldía e inconformismo, por definición, si no, no es arte! Y, un poco más allá, el arte es una expresión del Alma humana y, por tanto, libre, singular y desbocada…

Pero, bien utilizado el algoritmo, éste te permite que sea la audiencia quien dicte las reglas y las preferencias. Y, en función de éstas, te ayudan a identificar patrones de comportamiento y de gustos artísticos (musicales, pictóricos, literarios, etc.) similares, luego permiten hacer crecer la audiencia y, por tanto, evaluar la percepción de esa obra artística, en el tiempo y/o según su entorno geográfico, social, etc.

🐦‍⬛ ¿Qué papel pueden jugar hoy los artistas para defender este derecho fundamental, como lo hicieron otros en el pasado?

🤔 Bueno, el arte siempre ha sido “un mal menor” en una sociedad estandarizada y sumisa. Gracias a esto pervive! El arte, como he mencionado antes, es rebelde, por definición y debe expresar la individualidad de su creador. No creo demasiado en las escuelas, las generaciones o los estilos, aunque es verdad que cada época crea un denominador común fruto del entorno social, económico, político y cultural, de cada lugar y momento. No creo demasiado en la cultura de masas, en el “mainstream” (aunque los intereses económicos que hay detrás lo persigan). Creo más en ese arte sutil, singular y discreto que se expresa en la vida cotidiana, muchas veces hoy en la propia calle y fuera de los museos o las salas de conciertos, como los músicos de la calle o los grafiteros. Hoy han crecido exponencialmente los canales para llegar a la audiencia y eso, junto con la tecnología, permite “el traje a medida” del artista y sus seguidores, por infinidad de “nuevos canales”!

🤔 Pienso lo mismo, y además desde mi experiencia como autora puedo confirmar que con la Inteligencia Artificial de pronto te sientes superada por la amplitud de recursos… Y sin embargo, me encuentro que los resultados que se obtienen no siempre son los deseados… más aún que con los mismos recursos maravillosos diferentes seres humanos crean cosas absolutamente diferentes también… Decía Ramón y Cajal que “No faltan medios, faltan voluntades”, y aquí, para contestar a Mirlo también creo que el papel que juegue la IA está todavía en nuestras manos. Con el tiempo, ya se verá cómo nos influye toda ese derroche de medios y de información… Ojalá nos ayude a expresar esa emoción humana, ese Alma, que espero sepamos proteger y valora de verdad.

El derecho de PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL

en un momento en que su gestión vive una crisis existencial.

🐦‍⬛ ¿Qué valor tiene la creatividad humana hoy?

🤔 Como comentaba antes, para mí la creatividad es la supervivencia del individuo frente a “lo demás”, lo ajeno a él! Y, tal como está el mundo y hacia donde nos están llevando “nuestros líderes” (permíteme este eufemismo…), la creatividad es esa grieta necesaria, insustituible e inevitable para escapar de “la caja”, de lo establecido. La creatividad no tiene límites, por definición!

🐦‍⬛ ¿Cuál es el papel de la llamada Inteligencia Artificial?

🤔 La IA no es más que una poderosa herramienta que está abriendo campos de experimentación impensable hasta hoy. Y como tal, nos permite explorar nuevas técnicas, aglutinar y compartir el conocimiento y, en buenas manos, favorecer la creatividad, siempre que no confundamos el medio con el fin, como muchos hacen o pretenden. Hoy en día, una idea basta para hacerla realidad, y la IA es una poderosa herramienta para lograrlo y, un poco más allá, “jugar a la hibridación” entre técnicas hasta ahora diferentes e (aparentemente) incompatibles! Música, luz, imagen, sonido, etc. son elementos que pueden encontrarse gracias a la Inteligencia Artificial para expresar mejor lo que el creador quiere -o necesita- expresar en su obra!

Al final todo conocimiento intelectual, científico o artístico son fruto (consciente o no) de la acumulación histórica de estilos, técnicas y disciplinas que provienen del pasado. Y la IA aglutina todo ese saber y nos lo sirve en la mano, de forma inmediata! Lo único que no podrá la IA es emular o sustituir el Alma o la emoción humana, que es la (verdadera) materia prima de todo artista!

🐦‍⬛ ¿Tiene sentido defender los derechos de autor en Internet o deben los artistas resignarse a trabajar en el mundo físico exclusivamente?

🤔 Al artista le suele gustar el contacto directo con su audiencia. Le gusta provocarse y provocar emociones en su admirador o fan y percibirlas “en directo”, más que cerrase en un estudio de grabación, solo con los técnicos! Y eso hasta ahora eran los conciertos, donde el artista comulgaba con su audiencia! Pero hoy, gracias a la tecnología, esos límites “físicos” se han roto y el universo ha crecido exponencialmente. Recuerdo hace años que se grabó un disco, cuyo intérprete estaba en un lugar, los coros en otro y la banda sinfónica en otro lugar, todos ellos “tocando en directo”. Todo eso es hoy posible, tanto en la creación como en la difusión de la música, por ejemplo. Si a esto le añadimos tecnologías aún por explorar, como el Metaverso, la Holografía, etc. La pregunta es ¿existe hoy la separación entre la realidad física y la virtual?

En cuanto a los derechos de autor concretamente, el mundo basado en ello (a nivel industrial con las patentes o la propiedad intelectual en las creaciones, etc.) se está rompiendo. Un Dj, por citar un ejemplo, utiliza fragmentos (a veces sonidos o fragmentos minúsculos) de una “obra ajena” en sus composiciones, se lucra de ello y resultaría imposible de contabilizar e imponer unos derechos de autor. Ya no es solo un problema de piratería, es un asunto que atañe a la propia creación artística. Y con la IA (que no es más que un compendio de información de infinidad de personas, estructurada de una determinada forma) aún está rompiendo más ese concepto de propiedad intelectual, como algo rígido e inamovible hasta ahora! En este sentido, otra herramienta de Blockchain, los NFTs, viene a aportar una solución viable en este incertidumbre actual, pues vincula el artista con su obra, aunque aún queda mucho por explorar en ese ámbito que exige una regulación legal!

🤔 Definitivamente los NFTs son los que han dado visibilidad a esa innovación fundamental en Internet que es la identificación de contenidos y de autores en el mundo digital. Sobre esto y sobre las fricciones con el mundo físico de las que hablas hemos ido comentando en esta newsletter, y por eso espero que Mirlo nos deje unos enlace aquí abajo para quien quiera profundizar.

🐦‍⬛ Unas semanas atrás tuve una reunión en Mirlo Studio con Miguel Benavent de B, a quien seguimos a menudo leo en su Blog. Miguel es un gestor de crisis y comunicador, con conocimientos tecnológicos y de innovación. Pero, sobre todo, Miguel es curioso, creativo y riguroso, y mantiene las ganas de aprender siempre. En nuestro encuentro se produjo una conexión inmediata, directa y muy fácil.

Miguel coincide con Georgina Mauriño en la necesidad de defender la condición humana y el derecho de cada uno a su espacio de libertad. Las aportaciones de la tecnología son bienvenidas, siempre que se utilicen con conocimiento.

En el estudio, somos todos personas atentas a lo que pasa a nuestro alrededor, y con todo lo que va ocurriendo no es fácil mantener el foco. ¿Será que nos quieren distraídos?… Por si acaso, yo insisto de vez en cuando en recuperar nuestra estrella polar, los derechos fundamentales que más interesan a los artistas independientes... Sobre esto decidí preguntarle a Miguel, para que compartiera -desde sus propias experiencias y proyectos- ideas que puedan iluminar el camino a los nuevos artistas independientes. A nuestra conversación se unió Georgina.

La PRIVACIDAD del artista en el mundo del exhibicionismo

🐦‍⬛ ¿Es inevitable la perdida de la privacidad para un artista? ¿Qué consecuencias puede tener?

🤔 Hasta ahora, el artista estaba “sometido” a un Sistema (que ha venido a llamarse “Industria”, ya sea musical, cultural o el apellido que se quiera poner, en cada caso) que le privaba de sus derechos como creador y del contacto directo con su “audiencia” o “mercado” (de oyentes, lectores, etc.). Eso le dejaba desprotegido ante un Sistema que, por decirlo de alguna manera, le ignoraba como creador, se lucraba de su protagonismo y, lo que es peor, de sus beneficios económicos. Contratos leoninos, condiciones injustas eran el devenir del artista, en pos de poder exponer o hacer llegar su obra al mercado. Sólo cuando el artista era célebre, podía “negociar” sus condiciones y llegar a ser alguien…

El artista vive de su identidad, que es la que expresa su arte. Y la identidad exige privacidad, ¡so pena de diluirse en el anonimato social!

🤔 Parece un oxímoron insoluble, y sin embargo creo que la protección de la privacidad ha sido y es imprescindible para definir tu singular proceso creativo, para identificar tu propio mensaje. Además, este ejercicio de auto-conocimiento es, en realidad, una práctica humana general muy saludable. Todos los seres humanos pueden ser artistas, aunque son muy pocos los que se toman el tiempo y la molestia de hacer ese camino necesariamente privado.

🐦‍⬛ Por eso, en el estudio nos encanta la definición de privacidad del Manifiesto Cypherpunk : La privacidad es la capacidad de revelarse selectivamente al mundo.

🤔 Por otro lado, como bien dices, la tecnología abre nuevas vías de ser recompensado por sus aportaciones en la red, y esos nuevos modelos de negocio habrá que hacerlos compatibles con la defensa de la privacidad… todo un reto.

🐦‍⬛ Por eso, os pregunto ¿Tener un montón de seguidores y llevarse bien con el algoritmo es siempre negocio? ¿Resulta rentable la métrica de la vanidad?

🤔 Hoy, afortunada o lamentablemente, el artista y su obra valen lo que la audiencia esté dispuesta a pagar por él/ella y por la cantidad de “fans” que obtenga. Y hasta ahora eso estaba en manos del Sistema (ya sea su manager, su marchante de arte, su representante, su discográfica, etc.), ósea que el intermediario era quién lograba o no la “fama”…y gran parte de sus ganancias!

Pero la aparición de la tecnología P2P (del inglés Peer to Peer, persona a persona) en los últimos años ha propiciado el acercamiento del artista a su mercado, a sus fans.

Y, si a esto le añadimos una capa más, como lo es Blockchain (un sistema operativo basado en la criptografía, la seguridad y en la inmutabilidad de los datos), esto abre un universo nuevo, al favorecer, además de la identidad, la interactividad, las transacciones económicas y la tokenización del valor, tanto a nivel propiedad como al valor en talento de las aportaciones, tanto del artista como de su mercado.

🤔 Llevas razón en que las leyes del mercado son implacables… sin embargo, me pregunto si esa tecnología P2P no puede dejar atrás esa dependencia de la “publicidad” por parte de artistas y sus clientes. Yo confío en que la descentralización, esa tokenización, que pone en valor lo singular y escaso, introduzca nuevos modelos de negocio en el Internet del Valor.

🐦‍⬛ La tokenization es el primer paso para entrar y beneficiarse de la nueva economía digital que está emergiendo ya en la web3. Si te sientes perdido con este concepto, puedes empezar leyendo sobre el Internet de Valor y la tokenización que nos han traído la tecnología blockchain y especialmente Bitcoin. 🤔 Personalmente sueño con que los hoy son consumidores algorítmicos o aleatorios pasen a ser clientes recurrentes y fieles. También espero que se vayan abriendo vías para que los artistas se comuniquen con sus clientes con calidad personalizada. El paradigma puede cambiar si queremos, pero hay que definir los nuevos modos, y dejar claro los papeles que vamos jugar cada uno.

🐦‍⬛ Por eso, hoy cabe preguntarse... ¿de qué toca hablar? ¿de Club de fans o de Comunidad?

🤔 Yo prefiero hablar de ecosistema. El club de fans es algo ya del pasado. Y la comunidad es algo que aglutina personas con los mismos intereses, pero que no va mucho más allá. Hoy hablamos de ecosistema, pues cada una de las partes integrantes de éste tiene un papel más activo y la suma de ello es la consecución o consolidación de un proyecto, artístico o no.

En un ecosistema balanceado, cada quién tiene su rol, desde el creador hasta el público, pasando por el productor, la discográfica, la distribuidora, etc. Todo gira entorno al artista y su obra, que recuperan ese protagonismo que el tiempo y el Sistema le habían arrebatado.

🤔 Ojalá los nuevos tiempos traigan ese equilibrio, y cada artista recupere las riendas de su mensaje.

🐦‍⬛ Por eso, y desde tu experiencia, Miguel, aquí va una pregunta más directa ¿Cómo puede un artista independiente gestionar hoy su presencia online mirando hacia el futuro?

🤔 Soy partidario de la colaboración en todos los sentidos, más que “de las heroicidades individuales”…

… Y, desde esa perspectiva, creo que la unión de los artistas hace la fuerza y, lo que es mejor, comparten experiencias y asumen retos globales. A fin de cuentas, todos los artistas tienen un mismo reto: llegar a su mercado y, en lo posible, aumentar su audiencia.

Participé hace años en un portal que unía artistas “amateurs” cuyo objetivo principal era financiar proyectos artísticos (ya sea, road shows, conciertos, clips de video, etc.) vía ”crowdfunding” y en el que todos los artistas tenían el común propósito de “salir al mercado” y, como fin último, profesionalizarse. Captamos más de 8.000 artistas durante unos 2 años, en toda España y Latinoamérica, de todos los formatos (cantautores, grupos, bandas musicales, etc.) y todos los estilos musicales.

Cada uno de ellos tenía su propio “espacio” desde donde interactuaba con sus ¡fieles seguidores! Pero la magia fue eso que no habíamos previsto: crear una comunidad de artistas que, crecían apoyándose los unos en los otros, colaboraban en todo: uno sabía de producción, otro de la organización de conciertos, otros de diseñar las portadas de los discos o la imagen gráfica, otros, gestionando las redes sociales.

Lamentablemente, por problemas en la gestión, el portal se cerró tras un par de años, por falta de financiación (aún no existía Blockchain, tal como lo entendemos ahora). Pero fue todo un aprendizaje para todos, los emprendedores que lo creamos y, ¡sobre todo, para los artistas! Seguramente fue la simiente para prepararnos, años después, a la llegada de Blockchain y la tokenización, como herramientas de interacción y, por qué no, también hacia la viabilidad financiera!

🤔 ¡Qué proyecto tan bueno y tan pionero! En efecto estaba marcando el camino que ahora empezamos a recorrer… Aunque en el momento de escribir estas líneas se habla poco del tema de las DAOs, en esta newsletter hemos sido testigos de algún proyecto que hacía uso de la tecnología en línea con lo que nos cuentas. Hasta ahora han sido experimentos para los artistas más cercanos a la tecnología, y el artista tradicional no se ha interesado. Pero creo que ese es un hilo que se retomará y acabará llevándose a la práctica cuando los protocolos de esas organizaciones y las herramientas de participación tecnológicas resulten más fáciles de entender y usar, y estén más generalizadas. Además, a la colaboración entre artistas se suma hoy una tendencia imparable a comunicaciones mucho más fluidas entre artistas, coleccionistas y todos los receptores de las obras de arte: su observación y eventual participación en el proceso creativo y es algo que enriquece mucho, y da más sentido a las obras.

🐦‍⬛ Otra cosa es la profunda reflexión que este nuevo paradigma abre sobre otro derecho fundamental: el derecho de Propiedad Intelectual, en un contexto en el que la IA se va introduciendo en la vida de los artistas de cualquier género… De eso hablaremos en la próxima entrega. Nuestra exploración continúa en unos tiempos absolutamente inciertos. Desconocemos lo que se nos viene, y asumimos el riesgo con deportividad, pero con prudencia. Esta newsletter está escrita hoy desde España, en una Europa peligrosamente ineficiente en el momento en que la tecnología ha puesto a la eficiencia como criterio central de lo que llaman “progreso”… en Smartists permanecemos serenos y estoicos, recordando a Kipling.

Los artistas independientes nos podemos auto-proteger bien porque disponemos de recursos propios únicos y fuentes auto-regeneradoras. Por eso, no podemos ser sustituidos fácilmente: una una cosa en hacer “refritos” de imágenes y sonidos ya producidos, y otro crear experiencias artísticas que recojan y expresen la vida humana en toda su profundidad. Desde Mirlo Studio lo comprobamos cada día, y así lo contó Georgina Mauriño en un reciente post en su LinkedIn (lo puedes leer aquí).

Por suerte estamos sentando las bases para intercambiar valor entre nosotros directamente haciendo uso de las herramientas Internet del Valor: tokenización* y Bitcoin.

En los próximos meses vamos a ver muchos cambios en el mundo. Vamos a tener que abrocharnos los cinturones, y buscar un lugar tranquilo y protegido para seguir en contacto con nuestros amigos. Os iremos contando en la medida en que podamos. Por suerte la Primavera va entrando poco a poco, y el Renacimiento que esperamos llegará antes de lo que imaginamos.

Noticias para artistas hoy

En Smartists seguimos progresando en la construcción del estudio-tienda que a los artistas independientes les puede facilitar el intercambio directo con sus clientes. En las últimas semanas estamos avanzando con el Podcast Privado y la tokenización de contenidos de diferente valor, algunos incluyendo licencias de uso.

En Marsella (Francia) una reciente sentencia de 20 de marzo, que hará historia, ha reconocido por fin el valor de la inscripción de una obra original en la blockchain como prueba de titularidad de derechos autor.

“… en la web 3.0, cuando hayas creado una obra de arte -un libro, un cuadro, una escultura, una canción, un vídeo- y lo tengas digitalizado en tu ordenador, podrás registrarlo online en un registro blockchain, y en ese registro quedará constancia imborrable del momento del registro, y sólo tú tendrás esa clave original que demuestra que eres el registrador primero, y por ello el propietario…”

Futuro del Arte > Transgenerational Wealth

En el Internet del Valor -solamente posible gracias a la tecnología blockchain y Bitcoin- se repite a menudo ese concepto de “transgenerational wealth”. La traducción literal al español por "riqueza transgenerational nos lleva a una definición muy diferente que puede confundir, y por eso nos vamos a quedar con la expresión en inglés, que se describe como la creación y expansión continuas de riqueza a través de múltiples generaciones, siendo su objetivo crear un flujo continuo de riqueza que abarque varias generaciones, en lugar de limitarse a transmitir un único negocio o activo.

Llevamos años oyendo hablar de globalización, del planeta… del espacio geográfico en que vivimos y que unos cuantos administran. Pero, ¿qué pasa con la dimensión temporal?

La tecnología blockchain tiene muy en cuenta el factor tiempo. En los registros blockchain las anotaciones son imborrables, o sea que no pueden cambiarse ni perecer. Por eso, lo que en la blockchain se anota nos sobrevivirá y podemos pasar lo nuestro a quienes queramos que nos suceda. Esto es algo que quienes poseen Bitcoin saben bien. En cuanto a las obras de Arte, esto nos lleva a la siguiente reflexión…

El Arte se transmite por generaciones, y por definición forma parte del transgenerational wealth de la humanidad.

El Arte es una forma de riqueza que transciende el momento presente y viaja también en el espacio: es testimonio de experiencia humana destilada por un ser humano que es capaz de plasmarla de manera excelente para que por siempre siga tocando a otros seres humanos.

Es importante recuperar la idea de que el artista crea con ese sentido de transcendencia transgenerational. Y también es importante entender que eso tiene el valor medible: wealth. Esta reflexion seguramente continuará en próximas news.

En la última reunión del equipo de trabajo se avanzó con algunas decisiones de diseño que nos permitirán seguir progresando en la línea de lo ya comentado aquí.

También estuvimos hablando sobre las recientes noticias sobre Bitcoin y su apuesta por la libertad financiera individual, que puede ayudar mucho a los artistas, y que puede ayudarnos a defender derechos humanos fundamentales. Nos preocupa que las narrativas de los políticos, especialmente en zonas como Europa, puedan entorpecer su adopción, que consideramos ya inevitable. Por eso seguimos apostando por desarrollar utilizando herramientas en L2 de Bitcoin. La idea es que los artistas-autores y sus clientes no tengan que manejar más que Bitcoin en sus intercambios de valor.*

* Quizás por eso, vamos ya acostumbrándonos a pensar en Sats, la unidad más manejable de Bitcoin (1 BTC = 100.000.000 SATs)… para quienes prefieran las referencias convencionales en Fiat: 1€ =1.300 SATs / 1$ = 1.200 SATS . Esto al tiempo de enviar esta newsletter el 14 de marzo de 2025.

En estos días, tenemos muy presente el compromiso de Smartists desde sus inicios con los artistas independientes. Esa fue la motivación principal de Georgina Mauriño, quien fundó esta pequeña comunidad. Hoy, el desarrollo de su nueva web es tan solo una Prueba de Concepto, que esperamos resulte útil y pueda ayudar a muchos a defender sus derechos fundamentales en la red, en particular su privacidad, su propiedad y su libertad de expresión.

También nos llega la noticia de una iniciativa nueva, en la que el mundo físico y el digital se abrazan. Se trata de la Asociación de Música, Arte e Innovación CONTRAPUNTO, que nace en la villa de Ezcaray, en el Valle del Oja (La Rioja, España), con una firme vocación internacional.

Georgina nos cuenta que están dando los primeros pasos, pero que ya tienen una sencilla web, contrapunto.today , para quienes quieran saber algo más.

Manuel Gimferrer nos cuenta que en Contrapunto va a servir para conectar con nuevos y viejos amigos, y difundir lo que las nuevas tecnologías pueden aportar a la creación y a la gestión artísticas.

Los promotores-fundadores quieren aportar lo aprendido al hilo de sus proyectos pioneros en los últimos años: NFTs , Startups, DAOs... Esperan que todas estas experiencias sirvan como punto de partida, y se abra el debate sobre nuevas formas vivir el arte y de gestionar proyectos entre todos los participantes.

Sobre nuestros progresos en SmartistsLAB y desde Mirlo Studio os seguiremos trayendo noticias en unos tiempos en los que vamos a estar muy atentos a nuestro espacio humano, personal y creativo, considerando sin precipitación el valor que las nuevas tecnologías pueden aportarnos.

Entramos en un año de grandes cambios por todo el mundo en muchos ámbitos. Sin duda, esto nos va a afectar a todos, también a los artistas independientes, claro. Nuestro estudio está en Europa, donde la tradición se lleva mal con la incertidumbre, y puede generar temor a la innovación, que se expresa en regulación a la defensiva. Sin embargo, desde Mirlo Studio traigo un mensaje positivo y tranquilo: ¡vamos a explorar nuevos caminos!lo cual no significa que nos vayamos a dejar dominar por cualquier tecnología que surja. Es tiempo de parar, respirar hondo y prepararse para el futuro que se nos viene encima.

La creación de un mensaje personal y único es lo que interesa a los artistas independientes en Mirlo Studio, y cada uno está hoy considerando las nuevas y diferentes tecnologías como herramientas.

En todo caso, en el estudio nos vamos a preparar para esa tokenización de que os hablaba hace unas semanas, y que creemos va llegar tarde o temprano. Y por eso, ha llegado la hora para nosotros de poner orden en el estudio.

Orden en el estudio

• reorganización de los materiales originales reales y digitales - imágenes , audios, textos -

• exploración de nuevas herramientas de producción/edición digital para la creación de ofertas con verdadero valor.

• diseño de nueva web con la que conectar P2P, tokenizar nuestras obras, que se inicial con un primer paso fundamental: poner a punto la wallet.

Por otra parte, en el estudio se plantea también una cuestión fundamental ¿cómo utilizar los medios de comunicación de hoy, manera personal y genuina como queremos? Hace tiempo que los fundadores de Mirlo Studio abandonaron las redes sociales por resultar impersonales, vigilantes y porque les robaban demasiado tiempo y les desviaban de la relación que querían tener con quienes se acercasen a nuestro trabajo. Georgina Mauriño nos abrió los ojos, y por eso Mirlo Studio ha sido un espacio de crecimiento. Además de mantener nuestra página actualizada, comunicando lo que hacíamos a través de la newsletter:

• hay algún miembro en el estudio que está considerando el uso de Sigle para sus nuevos escritos, pero para la news del estudio vamos a mantener Substack que nos gusta y nos facilita ese contacto directo que preferimos.

• probando nuevo podcast en Fountain.fm con antiguos episodios desde Mirlo Studio, y explorando las posibilidades del intercambio V4V - Valor x Valor.

• nos gustaría tener un formulario de contacto a modo de buzón con un calendario donde poder apuntarse a eventos y encuentros online privados. Esto sería posible fácilmente gracias a BlockSurvey.

Finalmente, en Mirlo Studio nos parece importante buscar el equilibrio de todo este camino digital con nuestras vidas en el mundo físico. Por eso, nos ponemos ya manos a la obra hacia la tokenización, mientras vamos programando nuevos conciertos privados…

Según entramos en 2025 con nuevos planes, todo un paquete de preguntas se nos vienen a la cabeza en Mirlo Studio, desde donde escribo estas líneas.

Digitization vs Digitalization vs Tokenization

Aclaración Previa . En español no distinguimos entre digitalización y “digitización” (un barbarismo a día de hoy…), y sin embargo es una distinción que sí se hace en inglés, y que resulta útil para entender de dónde venimos y hacia dónde avanzamos.

En el nacimiento de Internet, para tener un estudio más eficiente se fue tendiendo a “digitizar”/digitalizar todo aquello que anteriormente se gestionaba en papel, y para esto escaneábamos y guardábamos todo en nuestra computadora. Más adelante llegó la digitalización que nos llevó a usar apps como intermediarias en todas nuestras interacciones con clientes, compradores, socios, y hasta con la familia…

Nos dijeron que aquella digitalización era el único camino hacia el futuro. Pero, ¿y si hubiera un camino mejor? ¿y si pudiéramos tokenizar nuestras cosas de valor para intercambiarlas directamente con otras personas desde sus ordenadores directamente? ¿Sería posible comprar y vender en Internet sin la intervención de terceros, por el simple poder de la tecnología?

La tokenization es el primer paso para entrar y beneficiarse de la nueva economía digital que está emergiendo ya en la web3. Si te sientes perdido con este concepto, puedes empezar leyendo sobre el Internet de Valor que nos ha traído la tecnología blockchain y especialmente Bitcoin.

Algunas herramientas para artistas en 2025

Lo que aquí traigo es solo una primera reflexión, mientras empiezo a elaborar una lista que todavía está en construcción.

En Mirlo Studio, estamos empeñados en tokenizar nuestras obras del mundo real y abrazar nuevas experiencias phygital. De momento, estamos explorando nuevas posibilidades , mientras preparamos un nuevo espacio para llevar todo esto a cabo. Os traeremos más noticias por aquí.

Para hacer tokens de valor a partir de aquellos que se suelen promocionar en la web2 (Redes Sociales tradicionales) o en el mundo real, pensamos que debemos hacerlo con la mirada puesta en el futuro. No se trata solo de dar a conocer tu mensaje como artista sin más bien de conectar genuinamente con tus seguidores, ahora miembros de tu comunidad, con un espíritu Peer to Peer -P2P- , con la mentalidad del Valor x Valor -V4V-.

La Inteligencia Artificial seguro aportará nuevos medios en 2025, especialmente para actualizar algunas obras ya terminadas que se quieran tokenizar como nuevas obras que comuniquen mejor con las audiencias de hoy y del futuro. Ésta es la única verdadera aplicación de la IA que estamos considerando en este punto en nuestro estudio.

El Internet de la Información y el Internet Social necesitan ponerse al paso de las nuevas necesidades de los usuarios-creadores de contenidos que quieren tokenizar sus creaciones. En este nuevo paradigma queremos recuperar el respeto por la privacidad, la libertad de expresión y la propiedad, en todas nuestras interacciones y comunicaciones a través de la red. Hasta ahora, hemos desechado las apps y plataformas más descaradamente vigilantes, y seguimos recomendando que elijáis con cuidado vuestro navegador y buscador, sin perder de vista todo esto. Está en tu mano elegir la mejor tecnología para la Libertad.

Como seguramente sabes -si eres antiguo suscriptor de Smartists- en nuestra comunidad hemos estado usando BlockSurvey desde nuestros inicios para conectar directamente P2P, de manera confidencial, y en adelante vamos a seguir usando este excelente servicio. Además, a día de hoy, podemos sugerirte que empieces a explorar Nostr via Primal así como nuevas plataformas de Podcast como fountain.fm… A primera vista estas herramientas pueden parecer todavía un poco complicadas de usar, pero creo que merece la pena tomarse el tiempo de descubrirlas, y el esfuerzo de probarlas en serio.

Un PoC en construcción - escuchamos al autor…

Georgina Maurino ha estado trabajando en un nuevo “eBook” que será tokenizado y ocupará un lugar especial en su nueva website. Por eso, le pedí que noscontase un poco de que´va. Esto eslo que compartió con nosotros.

“Tener mi website con las funcionalidades necesarias para abrir mi propio estudio-tienaen al web3 me parece un sueño hecho realidad.

Se nos ocurrió dividir la página de apertura (landing) en 3 secciones: 1. Trabajos publicados en el PASADO lo cual te lleva a un escaparate sobre mis libros…; 2. Contenido DESTACADO PRESENTE que es donde irá mi nuevo eBook “Hacia el Internet del valor, el camino de una autora-ilustradora hacia la nueva web3” ; 3. Nuevo ESTUDIO-TIENDA donde acceder a nuevos contenidos exclusivos, echar una mirada a proyectos en construcción, y también conectar directamente conmigo para colaboraciones y/o encargos.

El libro “ “Hacia el Internet del valor, el camino de una autora-ilustradora hacia la nueva web3” [ Towards the Internet of Value - the personal journey of an author into the web3 ] está todavía en camino. El tronco principal del libro son mis artículos más visitados de 2018 a 2014, junto con una mirada entre bambalinas de estos años en mi vida personal, para aquellos que estén curiosos por saber cuál fue mi motivación par ponerme a aprender sobre la tecnología blockchain, y posteriormente abrazar Bitcoin (via Blockstack-Stacks).

Estoy deseando terminar de preparar el eBook y ver progresar mi website, que también va a incluir una herramienta de mensajería privada.

Además, según voy avanzando me estoy volviendo cada vez más protectora de mi tiempo y más selectiva en mis comunicaciones, así que probablemente incorpore algunos otros cambios en mi presencia online en el futuro.”

Ya que escribimos desde Europa…

Desde hace ya casi un año, la colección de NFTs, FOUR SEASONS, ha traído a nuestra comunidad la belleza y otras sensaciones de cada estación de año. Empezamos nuestro camino en otoño, os hemos presentado aquí este trabajo tan especial de Grace Hye (arte visual) y Manuel Gimferrer (música). El proyecto ha ido creciendo, y las experiencias y contenidos bajo llave para sus coleccionistas muestran el camino hacia nuevas formas para los amantes del arte de conectar con los artistas y sus obras.

En agosto, NUEVO LIBRO con tu NFT de CuratorBTC

Hace unas semanas, recibimos noticias especiales de Curatorbtc-Curator Collective, un muy querido miembro de nuestra comunidad. Por un lado, la colección NFTs for Peace estuvo en Nueva York NYCNFT, y aquí tenéis una imagen.
